After your flight to Adelaide, you’ll enjoy an overnight stop in Port Augusta. Then it’s off to Ceduna via Whyalla, Cowell & Elliston Clifftops. You’ll love Murphy’s Haystacks and Streaky Bay. Have you ever thought it possible to go whale watching from the Nullarbor? Well, now’s your chance. We’ll visit Head of Bight in the Great Australian Bight Marine Park—a great vantage point to view the Southern Right Whales. Then enjoy lunch on the Nullarbor before heading towards the W.A. border for some scenic clifftop views from the Nullarbor—from the Bunda Cliffs. Back to Ceduna and Pt Augusta through towns like Wirrulla and Minnipa where we visit the famous Pildappa Rock with a spectacular wave form. The Interpretative Wadlata Centre offers a memorable introduction to the area’s culture, heritage, settlement and development. Off to Quorn and Hawker where we’ll visit the stunning Wilpena Panorama—a 360 degree view of some of the most beautiful country in South Australia.—by local artist Jeff Morgan. Then be gob-smacked by our 2 nights at Arkaroola Wilderness Resort. Here we’ll witness rugged mountains, towering granite peaks, magnificent gorges and mysterious waterholes. You’ll be blown away by the fabulous 4WD Ridgetop Tour and the waterholes tour. All meals here. You’ll love lunch at the famous Feral Foods Parachilnna Hotel on our way to our overnight in the beautiful Clare Valley. Leave the tour here or continue on. We’ll visit some wineries, travel through the Barossa and on to Victor Harbour. We’ll travel to Cape Jervis where we meet the Kangaroo Island Ferry, pick up our local guide and discover this most fascinating Island. We’ll discover the Remarkable Rocks, Cape du Couedic Lighthouse and Admirals Arch. We’ll hear about the grim drama of shipwrecked sailors, the gritty industry of the whalers and the mysteries of the island’s original inhabitants. The Island is a natural habitat for platypus, goannas, seals, sea lions, glossy black cockatoos, wallabies & the island’s own species of kangaroo. Back to Adelaide via Goolwa, the Murray Mouth and Hahndorf. Fly home next day.
